  • Lovely Water Colored Card

How’s everyone doing this weekend? It’s been a crafty one at our home. I made a card with the lovely Simon Says Stamp March Card Kit. If you didn’t seen my unboxing video check it out! The kit is stuffed full of gorgeous goodies.

I chose to use the lovely daisy card panel by Suzy Plantamura. The card panels are printed on water color cardstock and makes a lovely water colored card even quicker. The paper is a fantastic weight and die cuts beautifully, check out the stitched border!

I used the cornflower blue card stock for my card, sorry for the black background, I’m still learning about blog photography. I water colored using the included pencils and a water filled brush pen. After it dried I affixed the panel to the card and attached the hello die cut.

The stitched die is by Pink Fresh purchased at Scrapbook.Com. I die cut the hello using my new Sizzix Sidekick Starter Kit. The Sidekick is amazing, it came with the plates, some dies, stamps, and it’s so cute! It’s perfect to leave on your craft desk to cut those little dies and even has a suction feature to hold it.

I can’t wait to create more projects using this amazing kit. I haven’t even taken the stamps out of the plastic yet!

Happy crafting and enjoy the rest of the weekend.

  • Simon Says Stamp March 2020 Card Kit Unboxing

    Hi everyone!

I am thrilled to be crafting again. Have you ever taken a long time off from crafting and creating due to life situations? In my case, it was major depression and anxiety. Well, I gotta say I now realize that crafts, journaling, creativity, etc can be forms of therapy.

Now that I’ve started my new journey with A Quirky Crafter I am finding inspiration everywhere. It’s almost like someone flipped the light switch and I have found new passion! I wanna do all things crafty, and I am totally loving this blogging adventure.

With the new adventure I’m finding myself trying new things that are out of my comfort zone….and I LOVE it! Such as, I hate hearing my voice on recordings, I’m totally Southern lol, and I’ve never been comfortable in front of a camera. BUT, today I did my first two EVER unboxing videos for two of my very favorite crafty companies. It’s definitely not perfect, but it’s me, real and unfiltered lol.

This post I’m featuring Simon Says Stamp. I have followed Simon Says Stamp for many years, I love that they offer a monthly card kit. I’ve never been disappointed, this is my first kit in probably 4 years and I’m so excited to share it! *this is not an affiliate post, all opinions are mine*
