  • Color Stress Away! A Mandala Coloring Book.

    Hello friends,

Has your life been as crazy lately as mine?! I’ve been pulled so many directions that I feel like a pretzel twist. Things are starting to settle down now, thankfully.

Do you like to color? I have found that it’s a great stress reliever, I especially love to color digitally on my iPad with the Procreate app. Creating and learning more about digital art has literally helped me stay sane during the last few months.

While I was learning new ways to create digital art I learned more about Procreate’s drawing assist features. It makes creating mandalas and other images so much easier. By turning on drawing assist and editing the drawing guide you can use ->Radial ->Rotational symmetry and ->Assisted Drawing to draw in one section while it automatically fills in the other sections! OMG, game changer for this gal who can’t draw a straight line.

While I played around I created a Mandala Coloring Book called Color Stress Away. It’s available in my Etsy shop HERE.

Here’s a little peek at it. There are 15 coloring pages drawn by me in the Procreate app. I love to color these in Procreate but you can use any coloring app or print the pages to color.

The book comes in either PDF or PNG format, you can download either or both. It’s priced at $3.50 and the downloads will be available as soon as payment is confirmed. These are personal use only.

Can you think of any kind of printables, planner themes or such you’d like to see? I’m always open to suggestions!

Have a lovely day and stay safe.

  • Free Printables to Get Your Pantry Stocked!

If I’ve learned one thing during the COVID-19 pandemic it’s how important to have basic pantry and household supplies on hand. In my house, and I’m sure I’m not alone, we took it for granted that we could go get what we needed every week…sometimes 2-3 times a week. We were sorely mistaken. We still haven’t been able to find Clorox wipes or Lysol. And that’s just because we ran out. I’m not a hoarder but heck, we like to keep things clean.

Lol, we were down to 3 rolls of toilet paper when everyone started buying up. It would be funny if not so sad. It took a while to find any but we made do. And canned goods, I usually keep 2 cans of each thing we use on hand. That was great until I went to restock and couldn’t find what I needed.

Soooo…that leads me to the free printables (download at the end of this post) I created for you and for me! I’m going to tape the Pantry Staples checklist inside the door of my pantry. The weekly meal planner is pretty handy especially with the shopping list that you can write in and cut off.

I hope you find these handy. I had fun making them and look forward to using them.

  • A New Free Printable

The talented people at Design Cuts have been doing video tutorials this week for Procreate. For FREE! It’s been amazing so far. I played around with some of the brushes I purchased during the first day’s videos.

And came up with this cute free printable. Read on to get the link.

I wanted to create something pretty and inspirational, and to me Shine is inspirational. We all need to feel good about ourselves and when I think of the word shine it makes me think sparkly, pretty, and I instantly smile and feel better.

It would be really cute in a little girls room in a simple white frame I think. Or anywhere for that matter. If you print it on card stock I think it would look best.

Without further adieu here’s the link to download the free printable!

Stay healthy and take a moment every day to remember to shine.

  • The Most Amazing Christmas Dinner & Free Menu Planner

Can y’all believe it’s just 15 days until Christmas?! I barely can myself, where’d the year go? Whether you’re staying in for a quiet family dinner or going to a friend’s or relative’s home for the holiday meal you know someone’s gonna be planning the meal and festivities. And possibly asking you to bring something as well lol.

When I was growing up my mom, dad, and I usually went to my grandmother’s house. There would be a huge spread with enough food to feed an army. It was usually turkey, ham, slaw, potato salad, green beans, macaroni and cheese, sweet potatoes in some form, cranberry sauce, some kind of jello dish, a ‘relish’ tray of pickles and such, mashed potatoes (my grandmother’s were the best), good ole southern cornbread dressing, giblet gravy, rolls, and oh-so-much-more.

Oh, and don’t forget the desserts!!! There would be anywhere from 8-20 or so of us depending on who could make it and nobody went away hungry.

Over the last few years and the passing of so many loved ones, along with my grandmother aging the tradition here has changed. My little family of my husband, daughter, myself, and our many critters stay home and have a scaled back menu but there’s still plenty of food.

I usually make either a small picnic ham in the crockpot or a turkey breast in the crockpot. Along with southern cornbread dressing, green beans, corn, mashed potatoes, and rolls. Check below for a free 2019 Christmas Menu Planner & Shopping List.

Heck, sometimes we just make homemade pizzas, ok, I use a pizza crust mix and bottled sauce, but still lol it’s a nice family meal.

Whatever your traditions, whatever the meal, just enjoy the time with your family and friends this holiday season.
