  • Exciting new changes coming!

    Hi everyone,

If y’all haven’t noticed I’ve been scarce (absent) for some time. I’ve been focusing on product creation and learning. With the pandemic it was the perfect time for me to take advantage of Skillshare‘s(click graphic below for info) classes (there’s something for everyone there!) WOW! Skillshare has just announced a 40% off the annual plan offer! Be sure to check it out. There are so many amazing classes on many topics, you are sure to find something to learn!

Plus, lots of bloggers that design printables and digital products had courses and such that have kept me busy.

I’ve discovered my true passion is creating digital products, printables, digital planners, etc. Currently, I am rebranding with a new name, redesigned website, resource library (ie freebies) and fairly soon a storefront! I’m very excited with this new direction which will tie in with my other loves in some ways.

I hope you stick around to follow me on this new journey!

    xoxo~Dawn

  • Depression and anxiety through the pandemic

It’s been a while….it’s been a while since I’ve had motivation. I know this year has been trying and difficult as heck for everyone. As someone who suffers from clinical depression, severe anxiety, among other things I’ve unfortunately let it get the best of me.

One of the reasons I even started this blog was to encourage others to find ways to cope with mental illness through creativity. And it’s embarrassing for me to say I’m not coping very well at all.

It’s so hard being unable to do what we used to do without batting an eye. The masks I simply cannot wear, from PTSD through being almost suffocated, plus asthma along with the anxiety it’s just not something I can tolerate. I’m sure I’m not alone in this struggle. So, I stay out of places, I order groceries and household essentials to be picked up curbside. And utilize drive thru fast food on occasion. I haven’t been out to eat with the family since March. I’m sure I’m not the only person feeling out of touch with humanity.

How are you dealing with this difficult time? It’s something I never thought would happen and I’m sure a lot of others didn’t either.

I went from feeling confident again to feeling so incompetent. My newly remodeled craftroom/office is a disaster. Unopened, new supplies that should bring joy and excitement are sitting in piles. It’s a sad situation.

And then I think of those who have lost loved ones, and the elderly in nursing homes who are unable to see family. I’m an empath so I feel that in my heart and soul.

What I’m hoping by getting all of this out, unfiltered, and raw, is to boost myself into coming out of this depression. It’s been a year and a half since I hit rock bottom, I really don’t want to get back there again.

If you, too, are suffering and feeling alone, isolated, and depressed please don’t hesitate to reach out. I truly believe getting it out to someone who can listen and cares helps.

Much love, prayers and healing thoughts for you and those you love. Blessings and take care!

PS I do have projects coming up, new printables, new items for my Etsy shop, and hopefully, a review and video of the new Cricut Foil Transfer Kit will be up very soon.

  • How to Organize Your Computer Desktop Free!

Who’s guilty of letting all of those icons from downloads, files and such pile up on their computer desktop? I’m bad about it! It really slows down work time when you’re trying to find something. BUT! There’s a solution!

If you are like me I’ve got just what you need to organize the hurricane of icons once and for all.

    Keep reading to download!

Below you will find a cute desktop organizer wallpaper. It’s sized at 1920 x 1080 px but is easily resizable. I use Windows 10 and I found this awesome and easily to follow set of instructions in case you’re not familiar, also my screenshot is shown below. If you use a different operating system do a web search of how to do this on your OS.

Go to Settings: Backround: Picture: Browse to choose your picture: Select Fit or Fill whichever works best for you. Easy peasy!

Last, but most definitely not least, right click on the image below to download. You will need to right click on the image and select save as, at least on Windows. Oh! Also, if you have so many icons that they won’t fit, you may need to purge or combine some in folders. You will find things so much easier and your work will be so much more efficient without having to search for everything! You can add headings to the labels in your favorite software or Canva/PicMonkey(both of which have free versions).

Desktop organizer/right click image to download.

I hope you enjoy getting your workflow organized! I plan to make more very soon! Be sure to come back soon, I’m creating a resource library of printables, and more!

  • Color Stress Away! A Mandala Coloring Book.

    Hello friends,

Has your life been as crazy lately as mine?! I’ve been pulled so many directions that I feel like a pretzel twist. Things are starting to settle down now, thankfully.

Do you like to color? I have found that it’s a great stress reliever, I especially love to color digitally on my iPad with the Procreate app. Creating and learning more about digital art has literally helped me stay sane during the last few months.

While I was learning new ways to create digital art I learned more about Procreate’s drawing assist features. It makes creating mandalas and other images so much easier. By turning on drawing assist and editing the drawing guide you can use ->Radial ->Rotational symmetry and ->Assisted Drawing to draw in one section while it automatically fills in the other sections! OMG, game changer for this gal who can’t draw a straight line.

While I played around I created a Mandala Coloring Book called Color Stress Away. It’s available in my Etsy shop HERE.

Here’s a little peek at it. There are 15 coloring pages drawn by me in the Procreate app. I love to color these in Procreate but you can use any coloring app or print the pages to color.

The book comes in either PDF or PNG format, you can download either or both. It’s priced at $3.50 and the downloads will be available as soon as payment is confirmed. These are personal use only.

Can you think of any kind of printables, planner themes or such you’d like to see? I’m always open to suggestions!

Have a lovely day and stay safe.

    xoxo~Dawn
